D. Kirk Beatty

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kirk Beatty is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and later attended UNC-Charlotte's Belk College of Business to pursue a Masters of Business Administration in International Business.  From his undergraduate days working at Duke Energy's McGuire Nuclear Station to his prior position with Food Lion in Salisbury, NC, Beatty was also previously employed with the formally known System Associates, Inc. and American Express Health Systems Group of Charlotte, and later with Holly Farms of Wilkesboro, NC.  Through out his career prior to Datatech, Beatty served in various IT technical and project management roles.  Leaving Food Lion to start Datatech, Beatty has led Datatech since its founding in 1996 and participates in the daily operations working and communicating with clients as well as attending to the executive leadership responsibilities of Datatech.  Beatty is active in his church and community serving on boards and committees for various associations and corporate entities.  Beatty is also actively involved in aviation where he holds a FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument, single engine, and multi-engine ratings in addition to a FAA Advanced Ground Instructor certificate and previously served as Chairman of the Rowan Airport Association.
